Cancellation by Customer
Cancellation by customer occurs when the customer submits a request to JHN to cancel the whole tour package or part thereof.
The customer may cancel the contract by paying JHN the cancellation fees listed on the payment page when making a reservation.
Changes by Customer
A change occurs when the customer requests a modification to an existing reservation after the travel contract has been concluded. If a requested change results in a reduction to the total booking value, the amount of the reduction shall be deemed a partial cancellation of the booking. Any refund arising from such reduction shall be subject to the applicable cancellation charges, which shall be deducted from the refund amount.
Permitted Changes: Subject to availability, JHN may permit changes to travel dates, departure times, passenger details, flight information, accommodation details, pickup/drop-off locations within the same resort area, baggage allowances, and other minor booking details approved by JHN, provided the booking remains on the same route originally booked.
Changes Requiring Cancellation and Rebooking: Any request to change the travel date, route, destination, departure point, arrival point, resort area, or any other material component of the booking shall not be considered a change. Such requests will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and the creation of a new booking. Cancellation fees for the original booking will be calculated in accordance with Clause 9.
Change fees:
- 8 days or more before tour start — No charge
- 4–7 days before tour start — ¥2,000 per person
- 3 days or less before tour start — Changes cannot be made
Avoidance of Cancellation Fees: Customers may not avoid applicable cancellation fees by changing travel dates, departure times, or other booking details before cancelling. All changes are subject to availability. Change requests received after 4:00 PM JST shall be deemed received on the following business day.
All costs incurred in refunding tour package fees are borne by the customer. Other refunds are solely at JHN’s discretion and require verifiable documentation. Where the cause of the claim would reasonably be expected to be covered by travel insurance, no refund will be provided.
