The current station building, completed in 2014, was designed with universal accessibility in mind, featuring wide concourses, elevators, and clear signage—making it easy to navigate with luggage and ski gear. Inside, you’ll find a staffed JR ticket office (Midori no Madoguchi), a tourist information center, and basic shops and services.

Nagano Snow Shuttle services at Iiyama Station operate from the Madarao Exit, providing a quieter, less congested side of the station for arrivals and departures.
Most other transport companies use the Chikuma Exit, which can become busy during peak winter periods. By using the Madarao Exit, we’re able to offer smoother vehicle access, faster loading and unloading, and a more relaxed meeting environment for our guests.
